Dalia Upma Recipe

Take one bowl of roasted dalia and soak it in warm water for half an hour.
-After half an hour strain it and wash it under fresh water for half a minute. Leave it aside.
-In a pan put some olive oil. When it heats up put some jeera(cumin seeds). When it crackles ,add chopped onions.
-Fry the onions till they turn golden brown
-Add chopped chillies ginger ,potatoes ,capcicum ,beans,carrot ,corn
-Saute all the vegetables for five minutes.
-Make a puree of two tomatoes add it to the vegetables.
-Again fry for a minute
-Now add salt to taste. Add either red chillie powder or black pepper powder according to your taste.
-Now add the dalia. Make sure all the water is strained out from dalia.
-Keep stirring for few minutes

Serve it garnished with coriander leaves.
Serve with coriander and mint chutny

Menthya Hittu(pudi)

ingredients
Togaribele/Toordal/Kandipappu- 1 cup
Kadalebele/Chanadal/Shenagapappu- 1 cup
Hesarubele/Moongdal/Pesarapappu- 1 cup
Uddinabele/Dhuli urdadal/Minapappu - 1 cup
Menthekaalu/Methidana/Menthulu- 2 tsp
Jeerige/Jeera/Jilakara - 1tsp
Kempumenasinakayi/RedChillies - 5-7 (adjust according to your taste)
Hingu/Asafoetida- a big pinch
Harishina/Turmeric - 1/2 tsp

Method :
Roast/fry all ingredients without oil on medium heat separately. Let them cool down.
Powder them and mix them well and store in a airtight container

Serving :
Serve with plain hot rice and ghee/clarified butter. Add little salt, mix and eat
